Your Privacy Matters

Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to help you with your printer. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1Introduction & Scope

Printer Tech Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides independent printer setup, troubleshooting, and assistance services by phone and online. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It applies to our website at printertechservices.com (the “Site”), our contact and request forms, and the phone and online assistance we provide. By using the Site or requesting our services, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site or submit information to us.

Independent provider. Printer Tech Services is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, or any other printer manufacturer. Those companies have their own privacy policies, which govern their own websites and products.

2Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you submit a request, use our contact form, or speak with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Request details — your printer brand, model, the problem you are experiencing, and any message you write to us.
  • Age or age range — only if you choose to provide it in our forms.
  • Call and assistance notes — notes about your request and the steps taken, so we can help you and follow up.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through standard web technologies:

  • Device and browser data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen settings.
  • Usage data — pages visited, time on page, links clicked, and the website or search that referred you.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — described in the Cookies section below.

Information from your device during assistance

If you ask us to troubleshoot your printer or computer remotely, we may see information about the device and printer settings during the session. This happens only with your permission and only for the purpose of fixing the problem you asked us to fix.

3How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your requests and call you back about your printer problem.
  • Diagnose issues, provide printer setup and troubleshooting help, and follow up on your case.
  • Provide quotes and, where you agree to a paid service, process the service you requested.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, our guides, and our assistance process.
  • Understand how visitors use the Site (for example, which guides are most helpful).
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse of the Site and our services.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4Cookies, Analytics & Tracking

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use a limited set of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Analytics — we use Google Tag Manager and related Google tools to understand traffic and how the Site is used. These tools may set cookies and collect your IP address and usage data, which are processed by Google under its own privacy policy.
  • Feedback cookie — if you vote that a blog article was helpful (or not), we store a cookie on your device, for up to one year, so the Site remembers your vote. We also store the vote together with your IP address to prevent duplicate votes.
  • Fonts — the Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers and your IP address is visible to them.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can block analytics using browser extensions or privacy settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some features work. Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals; because there is no common standard for responding to them, the Site does not currently change its behavior based on those signals.

5How We Share Information

We share personal information only in the limited situations below:

  • Service providers — companies that help us run the Site and our services, such as web hosting, email delivery, analytics, and tools we use to deliver phone or remote assistance. They may access your information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it.
  • Legal and safety reasons — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, the public, or ourselves.
  • Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent — in any other case where you ask us or agree to it.

We do not share your information with printer manufacturers unless you ask us to, for example to help you with a warranty claim.

6Remote Access & Device Security

If we help you remotely, we will only connect to your device after you give explicit permission, and you can end the session at any time. We limit what we look at to what is needed to solve your printer problem.

Never send sensitive credentials through our website forms or email — including payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, or passwords. We will never need these to troubleshoot a printer through our contact forms. If a payment is required, our technician will explain how it works before you decide.

7Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide assistance, follow up on your request, keep reasonable business and legal records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Your Rights below), subject to legal exceptions.

8How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including access controls and HTTPS encryption in transit on the Site. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your own devices and passwords secure.

9Phone, Email & Text Communications

When you submit a request or call us, you are asking us to contact you about it. We may call you or email you to respond to your request, follow up on the help we provided, and send service-related messages. If you do not want to be contacted, tell us during the call, reply to the email, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page and we will stop. We do not use the information you submit through our forms to send you unrelated advertising.

10Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete the personal information we have collected from you.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your personal information as described in this policy).
  • Withdraw consent or ask us to stop contacting you.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

To make a request, email us at servicesprintertech@gmail.com or call (601) 568-1508. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, for example by confirming the phone number or email you used with us. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of that authorization. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

11U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others with comprehensive privacy laws, have the rights described above under their state laws. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information listed in “Information We Collect” (identifiers such as name, phone, email and IP address; internet activity; and information you choose to provide in your requests). We collect it for the business purposes listed in “How We Use Your Information.”

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are not satisfied with how we handled a request, you may contact us to appeal, and you may also have the right to contact your state attorney general.

12Children’s Privacy

The Site and our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13Third-Party Links & Brands

The Site may link to or mention third-party websites and brands, including printer manufacturers such as HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Samsung, Xerox, Ricoh, Kyocera, Fujitsu, OKI, Panasonic, Tally, Lexmark, Dell. These companies are not affiliated with us, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

14Where Information Is Processed

Our service providers may process and store information on servers located in the United States or in other countries. By using the Site and submitting information, you understand that your information may be processed in those locations, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

15Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to make it visible on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
